Muse-ic to 75,000 ears: rock trio to open Wembley
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver December 4th, 2006
and Gary Wolstenholme

In a change to previously advertised listings, which stated that Bon Jovi were to open the new Wembley Stadium (in June 2006; they eventually played Milton Keynes Bowl), Muse are to be the first band to perform before a crowd of 75,000 at the redeveloped sports/music venue.

The Devon-spawned arena-rockers - who only recently finished a UK tour with Noisettes in support - will play the formerly twin-towered stadium on June 16, 2007. Well, if it's actually finished by then. Will it? Won't it? Whatever...

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, December 9, at 9am. DiS will be at ATP, drunk, so we'll miss out, sadly.

More information might be available at Muse's website, here.
