Self-appointed 'Maneater' and well-known 'Promiscuous' pop lady Nelly Furtado has, perhaps disappointingly considering the titillating nature of those titles, turned down an offer to appear on the pages of Playboy. In the buff, you understand.
The singer - currently at thirteen in the UK singles chart with 'All Good Things (Come To An End)' - was offered $500,000 to drop her kecks in the famous top-shelf magazine. She commented, after saying no to Hugh Hefner and company:
"It was tempting. It almost plays on your vanity. But I like to save a little bit for the bedroom. It's something to be preserved a little bit for yourself. But that's not to say that I would never do it. As a pop star, people would love to see you naked every day."
Which almost certainly explains away the failures of 'pop stars' Ric Waller and Steve Brookstein.
