Timbaland: wants to be a pop star, so recruits Björk...!?

All-over-TMF-every-minute hip-hop producer type Timbaland is looking to cross over from acclaimed knob-twiddler to established pop star in his own right with his new LP, Timbaland Presents Shock Value.
The album - due out in March - features a wealth of contributors from across the entire spectrum of modern music. Björk, The Hives, Jay-Z, Elton John and Justin Timberlake all appear. Crazy!
While being interviewed by MTV, Timbaland - currently to be seen dancing about with those Pussycat Dolls girls on t'telly - commented:
"I'm not just hip-hop. My mission is to take over Top 40 radio - what they call popular music, different genres of music - and reach all types of people."
Coming soon: Radio Timbaland. It'll sound just like Radio 1 does around two in the afternoon most weekdays.

the ending off Timbalands comment ".....reach all types of people, shag the pussycat dolls and most importantly make shitload of money in the process..."
Bjork's sold feckloads...
played the olympics...she's a POP STAR!
...
well that just sucks: when it reaches the stage where a musician *wants* to write music deliberately calculated to please the audience, rather than just writing what they want to write and hoping listners like it.
with that kind of attitude who needs major label sales targets?
can we stop taking press releases at face value?!
It's been about ten years since mainstream hip-hop artists were allowed to use the word 'art' or admit to enjoying music; let alone confessing that they wanted to work with a broad range of collaborators.
See; they're just straight-pimpin' thugs from the projects and hip-hop is just the next step-up in their business careers after hustlin' dope. Yo! They're just chasin' that green, day to day, hustlin' to make ends meet y'all.
So they couldn't possibly have a passion for music. And whatever changes they make in how they work have to be presented as a business move.
please keep up.
according to rough guide to hip hop
Bjork is Timbaland's biggest influence, it must be lovely for the big fella to be working on her
I love
Timberland.
well it's
cos he's thick
mind-boggling idiocy
i've been sat here for the past couple of minutes reading and re-reading all your ill-informed comments.
listen closely to Timbaland's music and put your petty indie prejudices to one side.
i'm not one of those people who mindlessly goes 'Timbaland's a musical genius'. He's made some pap that he just did for money.
but, hell, he's made some amazing music.
and, yes, he made that music for money too.
yeah
i got some wicked boots
now, i heard...
he's going to be producing bjork's new album...
vicious (delicious!) rumour?
