Ozzy Osbourne is to retire from the annual Ozzfest tour in 2006.
The Black Sabbath singer turned reality television star will step down from fronting the event, opening the door for different acts to headline the international money-spinning shows. Ozzy offered the following reasoning:
"After 10 years, the Ozzfest's name and reputation has been established. It's time for me to move on and do other things."
Although he will not perform as often as years past, Ozzy will nevertheless take to the stage on select occasions in 2006, according to Billboard.com.

He's pushing 60, I imagine keeping up such a schedule for the last 10 years probably hasn't done him that much good...

A little known fact about Black Sabbath is that they were a blues/rock combo, slide guitar, saxophone, etc. They split into two halfs, one half became Black Sabbath, the other half Slade.

I suppose it's fair enough, he's been rocking since time began, and Ozzfest would probably still be a success without the man. Still a real shame, though I'm sure it won't be the last we hear of him.

carling is watered down urine. it's ghastly, and yet they're everywhere! im sure i saw their banners at the joiners in southampton recently
ozzy really should retire completely he should think of what legacy he want's to have. ok i dont like his music, but black sabbath are considered as one of the kings of their genres. he's becoming a joke, and his wife should be silenced too...and his kids should be too!
