The Horrors announce first-ever headline tour

The Horrors, right: they look silly, are utterly one-dimensional, yet I can dance to their shizzle. Is this okay?

If you're also the type of drunkard that likes to shake a tail feather to songs like 'Count In Fives', albeit when none of your proper punk-rock friends are looking on, then you'll be interested in the dates below. They equal the band in question's first-ever headline tour. Which is nice.

NME cover before a single proper tour, eh? Good one.

December
5 London Cafe 1001/1002
6 Southend Chinnery's
9 Birmingham Bar Academy
10 Manchester Satans Hollow
11 Glasgow Oran Mor
12 Edinburgh The Vaults
13 Newcastle The Global

The band's Faris Badwan commented, via the band's MySpace site:

"Hi Everyone. We're really happy to be doing our first own proper headline tour. We've tried to pick interesting venues, and a couple of great support bands. I think we're doing a new fanzine in the new year too, so look out for that."

A Horrors fanzine!? I have one here! Do you want it...?

cafe 1001?

eh?

is there really

somewhere called 'the vaults' in edinburgh?

yea rela vaults

change that picture its really really really upsetting.

hmm

1001 or 101? the latter numbered room, would be good to see them dropped into that soon enough.

How long will their set be though

20 minutes?

STOP IT. STOP. IT STOOOOP IT

make them go away - who/why/when - please tell me one of their dads won a bet with someone in the industryor someoneis returning someone a favour- I'm wimpering at the absurdity of this band!!

"Cafe 1001/1002"

wut?

Horrors Fanzine?!??

They could put adverts in for a lead singer WHO CAN ACTUALLY FUCKING SING and NOT mumble his way through a set like a deranged baboon

POTD

two days off after two gigs?

on a 7 date tour? slackers.

birmingham

bar academy is an 'interesting venue'?!?

well

its probably just nicol edwards pub which is sometimes called the vaults for gigs, there are lots of cool underground vaults or similar across the old town which is only really used during the festival that'd be great for gigs.

its a long way

from southend to birmingham dontcha know

It is, actually, yeah

I love it in there. So small.

i think this band have simply been created

to prove a point that a bit of hair and a bit of spunk and a bit of glitz sells records, regardless of anything else. and the people who created them would be right. these are the times we live in.
