Oh, the Horror: singer assaulted on stage

The Horrors frontman Faris Badwan has again been assaulted, albeit this time while performing. The singer was attacked in Whitechapel earlier in the year.
The Horrors were performing in New York, at the city's Stereo venue, last night when one attendee became involved in a "scuffle" with Badwan. The singer told NME:
"This guy kept trying to grab the microphone, and after I told him to stop, he tried to start a fight with me. I would never hit someone unless they hit me first."
Badwan added that he came off the better of the two combatants. The band's new single, 'Count In Fives', is out now. Yes, it is!

Every time you feel the rage building just picture one of the Rugby educated posh goths visiting pater in his study and saying:
"Pater, Pater dear. I need eighty pounds for a haircut, daddy. I want to be a goth. Tomethy's Pater let him, you know? Oh please daddy, I promise I won't give it up like I did water polo or swan riding."
They're young aren't they?

i feel sorry for The Horrors. they're a passable band and i'm not about to go and buy their records but it's refreshing that a young band like them are into The Monks and The Cramps and The Birthday Party. it's better than another band inspired by Oasis.
their image is obviously designed to get them publicity and because they find it fun dressing up.
getting worked up about them is really quite strange i think. are they threatening to you?

People tend to get worked up about bands, good or bad, that's why they spend time on music sites like this.
THEY'RE A FUCKING BAND. Therefore people are allowed to give their opinion, good or bad. Whether I hate them for their socks or love them for the guitar strings they use, what business is it of yours? My hate is my own!!

My respect for this band grows every time I see snobs slagging them off for offending their petty sensibilities. Because, if I'm not much mistaken, that is exactly what they set out to do. They are destined to have the last laugh, whether it's from a hospital bed or otherwise!

ps- what I dislike about The Horrors is that they have attracted so much attention, despite being bad.
Their image, behaviour etc, has all been done before, and I have no problem with it. The fact they are rehashing stuff I love, very badly, pisses me off.
