Had tickets for this. Gutted. Apparantly she'd not doing Glasto now either. Difficult 4th album???
It really annoys me when acts pull out of really big dates because they are still working on albums. Surely they are still capable of doing old stuff?
All though I hear The Cooper Temple Clause have just pulled out of Glasto for this reason.
Not all bad then!

Beth Orton cancels Somerset House gigs - more tick
Beth is a great artist & a true poet and if she has to cancel a gig, for whatever reason, that is just too bad. I am so looking forward to the new album, but have no info on when it's to be released.
Meeting Beth at Cambridge last year was one of the highlights of my life . . . a life I measure by music . . . right up there with being at the first show the Grateful Dead ever did this side of the Atlantic (May 24 1970 - before Beth was even born!) and one time finding myself dancing WITH Chuck Berry WHILE he played & sang 'Johnny B.Goode' AND did the 'duck walk'!!
Send Beth a whole lotta love, and be thankful that we have been blessed with such a rare talent, writing songs that haunt & hypnotise & never grow stale . . . we are just SO lucky! And she is such a sweetheart too!
