Happy Times! Arcade Fire and Interpol offer new songs to Six Feet Under

Fun lovin' indie poppers The Arcade Fire and Interpol are to donate exclusive tracks to the new Six Feet Under OST.

Death-obsessed Arcade Fire do 'Cold Wind', while the morbidly-inclined Interpol offer up 'Direction'. Other bands featured are Death Cab for Cutie, Radiohead and Pheonix.

The CD will be released via Astralwerks in the States on June 21st and hopefully around the same time in the UK. The show, which begins its fifth and final season on June 6 is probably the greatest TV show ever in the history of the word. Objectively speaking.

DiS will cry when the series ends. And then will sit in a dark room surrounded by pictures of Claire Fischer.

Ahem. That full track-listing is:

Hoorah! Great show and great looking soundtrack. I Like the titles of all the other Six Feet Under soundtracks. Nice and gloomy.

Tut tut, you're behind Pitchfork on this one.

I remember them playing Lucky at one point. They were all standing around a fire in the garden and then Claire went upstairs and put it on. It's a good show.

Arcade Fire played 'Cold Wind' in brum the other week. Nice little song.

Re: Happy Times! Arcade Fire and Interpol offer new songs to Six Feet Under

Has anyone else noticed, where good reviews from places are used to advertise most albums, some bands have actually started using BAD reviews from pitchfork in their adverts, most notably Mercury Rev for Secret Migration. I guess that says a lot about popular perception of something like Pitchfork.

The Caesars - '(Don't Fear) The Reaper'

Re: Happy Times! Arcade Fire and Interpol offer ne

hmm, was a great show. The deceased played a greater part in the earlier series: now it is just like the Fisher family soap opera, but hey, I'm getting away from the point: the music selection is great. Roll on more new shows from HBO.

Interpol are great but sometimes they come across as......well I cant think of a better word, LAZY. This would have been a great opp. to do something outlandish (Interpol? Outlandish?) but instead we have direction, the sound of a rotting wooden coffin, and believe me i've heard a few. It might grow on me, anyway their next album will be the greatest thing out of New York. Mark my words!
