Taking a little time out from his nine-to-five as one fifth of popular NYC posh-rockers The Strokes, Albert Hammond Jr is to tour his solo album, Yours To Keep, from November 22.
Said album is released via Rough Trade on Monday (October 9), with a single, '101' following on November 27. Anyone that attends the man's Glasgow gig, be sure to give him a hearty round of applause for, y'know, having a short-play record out and stuff.
Full dates run as follows...
November
22 Birmingham Academy 2
24 Leeds Cockpit
25 Manchester Academy 3
27 Glasgow ABC 2
28 Nottingham Rescue Rooms
29 London Scala

Im pro-strokes
but this man's face is too insolent to take too seriously
LOL
who f---ing cares
I like him...
his solo stuff sounds pretty good. Apparently he wanted it to be used by the band as a whole but the rest of the fellas were like "no way Hammond, fuck off!", so he's releasing it on his lonesome.
he is leaving the band over this dispute
and will be replaced by Richard Hammond
