Pulp played a 14-song set to 1,300 at the Hay-On-Wye literature festival that included six new songs, plus a reworking of Common People. The new songs were 'Weeds', 'Bad Cover Version', 'Trees', 'Minnie Timperley', 'Sunrise' and 'Wicker Man'
Of 'Bad Cover Version' Jarvis said: "Has anybody ever drunk a can of Panda Cola? It's rubbish, isn't it? This song is about trying to be something and not really getting there."
Meanwhile, 'Minnie Timperley' tells of a dream he had about a scottish slave, and 'Wicker Man' is apparently a homage to the classic horror movie of that name.
