The world's firest-ever biography of Trivium is out now. The Mark Of Perseverance, which follows the band from their earliest days through to their current superstardom, was penned by a DiS contributor, Joe Shooman.
The book benefits from input from the likes of original members Jarred Bonaparte (yes, that's his name) and Brad Lewter, as well as (bizarrely?) Gizz Butt, once of The Prodigy. Strange, indeeeeed...
A number of never-before-seen photographs are also included.
Trivium release their third album, The Crusade, early next month through Roadrunner; they also support Iron Maiden on the latter act's winter stadium tour. Joe Shooman can be heard on Radio Merseyside's PMS show - click here to check it out online.

Gizz Butt
teaches me guitar - true story
I thought I knew 'a lot' about music
but this stumps me - I am clearly out of touch!
most people on this site think that though
you probably do know a lot about indie music. it doesn't often extend further.
Gizz...
...appeared on the Ascendancy LP, shouting along to A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation after a boozy night out with the band, he's mates with Andy Sneap who was mixing the LP and dropped in to have a gander at what the band were up to.
Top bloke.
BOOAAAAT!
RUUUDDERRR!
.
does it include their hilariously bad new song?
'woah woah!
yeah yeah!'
Genuine cack, it really is.
current superstardom
talk about a niche market
don't niche markets
cater for a very small portion of the population?
confused!
is a niche market
for people who own thus spake zarathusa?
fried not
I don't know much about trivium apart from their name, is the book aimed at me?
I think metal could be described as a niche. Books about quite big metal bands 3 albums into their career as superstars on the other hand...they'll be writing competing encyclopedias about them in a couple of years. The books that is, not the bands.
STRAAANNGGGEEE!!
MOUNTAIN!!
