Beck is to take over BBC's digital music station 6Music on October 2, the release date of his new record The Information.
The pint-sized singer is to perform a series of live sessions on the day, and the station is to make the album their Album of the Day. Be a bit shit if they didn't, though, what with the man himself being sat in their studio an' all.
The singer told the station a little about The Information:
"It's different from the last album, but it's sort of a continuation. It's still got the beats and good amount of hip hop tracks. It's not like Sea Change. It's not a quiet acoustic record.
"I wanted to have more of a live sound. I hate to use the word 'organic', but you hear the bass player and the drum player's mics and it's a bit messy."
The Information is to be followed by a single, 'Cell Phone's Dead', on October 9.
