JamiroCry? Jay Kay arrested in London
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver September 12th, 2006

Jamiroquai's Jay Kay was arrested this morning, according to band fan site The Funkin' Site.

The singer, pictured, allegedly attacked a photographer outside the Kabaret nightclub in central London. He was seen slapping a snapper in the face after verbally attacking the assembled paparazzi.

He was handcuffed by police after security at the club failed to move him along and taken to Saville Row station for questioning. One photographer at the scene, Rowan Lawrence, said:

"There was no provocation for his actions and the guy had done nothing when Jay hit him around the face."

It's thought that Jay Kay, who has something of a history of run-ins with photographers, was drunk at the time of his arrest.
