Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

Details of headline acts set to play this year's T in the Park festival at Balado, near Kinross, have been announced.

Saturday will see performances by Foo Fighters, Keane, Embrace, Streets, Audioslave, Beautiful South and the Coral, whilst Sunday will offer action from Green Day, Killers, Prodigy, Kasabian, Ian Brown, Razorlight and, as ever, national heroes Biffy Clyro.

T In The Park takes place on the July 9-10th, and tickets go on sale tomorrow at 9am from big ticket outlets. Expect tickets priced at £82 for the weekend, and £97 for the weekend with camping. Day tickets are priced at £46.50 for each day. Probably best to knock a tenner on each of those for 'handling', 'postage' and 'packaging', because as ever, your tickets will be hand processed by the Pope and come in a solid gold box. Bastards.

A third of tickets for the festival have already been sold, with passes having gone on sale for a month immediately following last year's festival. So maybe get your dibs in now. Because none of us are poor at the start of the year, are we?

That'll be Biffy Clyro, then.

Wow! A rock year! How much better does this sound than V?

Mind you, V always makes up for it with the NME stage lineup.

that thing about the packaging/handling is so true...how much does it really cost to put a ticket in an envelope i ask you?!

i like the look of most of this bill ... two good headliners, and some good other bands...nice

btw, V is always sh*t, its mostly a celebration of bland mediocrity (sort of like the brits in festival form)

Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

That's one of the most boring uninspired line-ups i've ever seen for T in the Park.

Re: Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

I agree. Embrace? the coral? Ian Brown??? Fuck that shit.

Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

the beautiful south? eh!? and yeah, totally uninspired. kinda hard 2 follow the pixies though. and to be fair, "as ever" for biffy isn't strictly true, they didnt play last year. sorry 2 nitpick. rumoured that new order r playin too. and i wanna see keane just to throw brussel sprouts at that little sprout faced bastard. there better be some more bands confirmed soon, and good ones too, or i wont be pleased at all.

Re: Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

I also agree. Last year was amazing though, and I'm not going this year soo...

Re: Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

Is anybody else sick of these MOR festival lineups? The Foo Fighters for fucksake. They are so over and irrelevant. Who books this fucking rubbish?

Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

fair point.

Re: Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

This is a pretty damn shit line up so far but I'm hoping for some better acts further down the bill. I'm still going because its such a great party.

Wow! Watch what you say about Green Day and Ian Brown! I loved the Stone Roses, and I think Brown is doing pretty damn well on his own. And Green Day, in my opinion, is the only ligit punk band we've left in this world, and I love them for that!

I have to say, I like what I've heard from the Beautiful South AND Embrace. Y'all are breaking my heart! I appreciate Keane, the Killers, and Kasabian, aswell!

Of course, I can understand how many of you think last year with the Pixies can't compare to a band that rose from the ashes of Nirvana, but I'd still love to cross the ocean and see this show.

Green Day and Foos for T in the Park

apparently 2/3 of all tickets have gone already. weekend tickets without camping are sold out. pretty quick considering the line up so far.

In reply to Brainlove, those are the headliners, and are therefore chosen to pick to the great mass of the public who do just want to watch fairly mainstream stuff. If you want to see decent edgier stuff, you're going to have to divert your attention from the mainstage.

wow green day and foo fighters...two of the most awesome bands ever!!!
