Klaxons news: secret Southampton gig

Disco kids Klaxons will be warming up for their appearance at Bestival next weekend with a ‘secret’ gig in Southampton.
They’ll be playing the Long Live Rock and Roll club night at Lennon’s next Thursday, September 7th.
This is quite possibly the last chance you’ll all have to see them in all their glory at a tiny weeny stinky beer-stained venue before they go off on tour with the big boys’n’gals on the next NME tour.
Doors open at 9pm and tickets cost £4 in advance (available from www.longliverockandroll.com) and £5 on the door.

To the 20,000 people on their myspace friends. They've just made a bunch of their NME dates all ages as well. Thankfully Koko is still 18+.

a nice little puppy called Fluffles.
secret in the way that...
their 'rave' in Hoxton Sq. was secret, it would appear.
whooop!
i live in southampton :D
The most un secret gig in the world
good job i got my tickets. Out of interest dose any 1 know how much lennons holds, im gussing about 200 but there will 3 quaters of the crowed fighting for a view of the satge, hmmmm shud be interesting
But that wasn't announced on Klaxons myspace
It was all sorted out through Young Turks I beleive. And you had to ring a number on the day. A lot more effort than being chucked at 20k people on myspace, DiS, NME, Gigwise etc. Plus it isn't even a secret gig...
i love lennons music and cheap drinks
but i fucking hate the cliqey atmosphere. It's full of scenester twats who think they're the best thing since sliced bread :( Yuck
*cliquey
that might still be wrong :-S
I hope
Im not seen as scenster twat there. I just go for the cheqap booz and dance likea fool for the music.
people who dance like a fool
dont fll into the scenester twat catagorie, the ones im talking about are too far up their own arses to dance.
hmmm
who? *confused*
sure all the lennons regulars i know who might possibly be referred to (in a very prejudiced and stereotypical manner) as 'scenesters' all dance an awful lot, mostly in quite a ridiculous manner.
i think lennons has a great atmosphere - sure a lot of people know each other but that's just cos they love it and as such go back every week. i don't think it's any attempt at snobbery or anything. maybe you should try talking to the people you call scenesters - you might actually find they're very nice people.
who cares any way
klaxons are playing and i will defy any one not to dance like a loony on thursday
I have.
I was there on my 18th birthday and I was sat with a table full of people (cos i knew one of them) me and my friends were just generally having a fun time, everyone else at the table was sat here posing, I tried to strike up conversation with a few of them, and all I got was looked down the nose at. I did meet one guy who was a dude and he had an awesome leather jacket! But yeah, everytime I've been there most of the people were jerks and the girls love giving me evils for some reason :(
are the
cheap 1 pound drink promotions on that night cus that wud make the niight lots of fun.
Also whos suporting klaxons hopes its a good band
