Belle and Sebastian have been voted the ‘Best Scottish Band of All Time’ by Scottish music fans...
The poll was produced by Scottish magazine, The List after they nominated the top 50 Scottish bands of all time.
Band leader Stuart Murdoch said: ‘We don’t think for a moment that we are the best band in Scotland, but we are thrilled to be on a list with some of our favourite artists like Teenage Fanclub and the Cocteau Twins. I think it says more about the fans than it does about us. We have a very loyal fan base. We’re absolutely delighted.’

Kinda good, kinda bad choices. Biffy Clyro should have been in the top 15 at least. Idlewild at No. 3 was a great surprise, but I'd have prefered No. 1. I'd guess online voting. I think most bands had links of their websites saying "vote for us here".

Well I think the list is only relevant to the time its done.If it was 1974 it would be the Bay City Rollers,if it was 1985 it would be Simple Minds and if it was 1999 Travis would have won.
