Weezer have named the first single from their as-yet-untitled new album. ‘Beverly Hills’ is going to lead off the band’s fifth album – despite no release date being announced, nor the actual album being completed…
On the band’s website it was written that "still nothing to announce in terms of album completion, album release, touring, etc., but rest assured the right people are doing their work on this stuff and doing it well. Things are still on track for action somewhere in spring of the new year." This is despite previous reports that band leader Rivers Cuomo was hoping to finish the record over Christmas.
In additional news, Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson recently announced the birth of his son on the website of his side project band The Special Goodness. Awww.

Pinkerton is one of the best albums in the world ever. i cant live without it. i think everyone kinda knows that the first two are the best, the third and fourth arent really that spectacular, but nobody really cares cos its weezer. i just cant wait to see them live again. i'll prob eat my words here, but i dont care how much it costs, im going to see them on at least half of the tour dates (when theyre annonced). its hell having to wait two-and-and-half-years-and-counting to see them again!
