In your "some of you might have heard of them" list...
...you forgot to mention "...because MTV2 is playing Monster Hospital every five seconds".
Mind you, I like the song. Will watch them at Reading...
I've heard the album,
so I know it rules. :-D
only thing that sucks
is that birmingham sold out.
going to kings tonight
they rock, the album is so good
ba
the moster hospital reminds me of "fought the law". it's quite catchy though, her voice kinda reminds me of Ginat Drag's lead singer a little bit! But they're pretty overrated
anyone know
whether the Kings College gig has sold out?
...
yep.
...
she doesn't really sound like annie at all (gd).
metric are certainly not overrated. monster hospital definately isn't the best song off live it out, but they're amazing live and all their back catalogue is amazing. even emily's 1996 solo album is outstanding.
there may be some returns
call the venue.
I sais it after I saw them live at wireless....
they are great, actually amazing. plus the guitarist looks like nicolas cage. dontcha think?
I predict . ..
Everyone will fucking mental it to Monster Hospital at Reading and it will be track of the weekend.
sorry to say
I feel that Emily has lost a lot of her onstage passion during performances. It has all become too automated. Too much of a robot without much connection with the crowd. I've seen them twice in the UK, 2005 and 2006. Comparing those two performances with the 2003 one I saw in Sweden she doesn't look as happy and excited as she did then. And that was in front of a less than 20 people crowd.
Very Sad.
I hope she re-discovers the stage presence when doing her upcoming solo-stuff.
Hi, I'm a new member!
Anyways...who doesn't love Metric! And Glass Ceiling is seriously not the best song off of Live It Out. But Live It Out is not my favourite album...I loved Old World Underground so much more. And I agree with the Emily losing her energy comment. I've seen them live a few times and recently, she looks like she's just not that into it anymore...as in way less energetic. Anyways, I'm praying that her solo show here is all ages right now, cuz I want to see her so badly! Ooh, and by the way...that live footage in Toronto: I was there for the rehearsals! It was awesome!! But I missed the actual performance because I had to attend a stupid wedding.
hehe
oh rly?
