Fookin' ace 90s rockers Kerbdog - who kinda became Wilt for a while, got a couple of Melody Maker features, and disappeared as quickly as said magazine after its relaunch - have reformed.
The band, known for fantastic stadium-sized rock joints like 'Sally', to name but one, are playing a show in Dublin on February 5th. We guess there are more dates to come. Goddamn, we hope so.

Tickets are €17.50 inc booking fee.
Doors 7.30pm.
Strictly over 18s. ID Essential
More as soon as we get it!

kerbdog - wern't they a bit of a husker du tribute band?
Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
Only if Husker Du sounded like Metallica.
Please don't play London, play Newcastle instead. I'm waiting with baited breath. Kerbdog were indeed fookin ace, and fully underrated. Are they bringing the other guitarist out or are they touring as a three piece?

Re: Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
awesome, seeing them in a pub in derby years back is in my top five gigs list. they were fantastic- similiar to therapy in that they released an album full of dark rockers then an album full of great pop stompers. great news, but there has got to be more dates!

all i need now is for cable to miraculously reform and i'll have all my favourite bands back....
Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
I liked the review with Cable on this site a while back. Was very interesting..that Hundred Reasons/Cable show sounded very, very interesting...wonder if it'll happen now Colombia's out of the picture?

Nice to see the ammount of people who 'rate' Kerbdog, has doubled since this thread was posted...

I used to love the 'Dog back in the day. Wilt were awful though, a really bland, watered-down version of Kerbdog. I'm always dubious about reformations, particularly in light of other failed musical ventures.
Re: Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
sorry but they are irish not british. You might check a map and find kilkenny isn't in the north of ireland.
Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
Wow! So many people who love Kerbdog and Cable! They're both fuckin ace!
I live near Derby, but might fly to Dublin for this show

Re: Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
Keep an eye out for Cable... as Pete said in the interview, reformation is far from ruled out!

Got my ticket for what will be a very special night. Ah I remember that last show all those years ago, bring sa tear to the eye...
Re: Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
Hey I was there to at the old Garrick. Apart from the excellent Gorilla gig's I remember the Kerbdog gig one the most. not just because of who it was but more of what happened. I'm sure if it was during On the turn, but some drunken old hippy kept pushing into this guy, then a fight broke. Kerbdog had to stop playing until it got broken up...haha memories..
Whats the deal anyway are Kerbdog back properly or is it just a one off gig in Dublin??
I'm glad to hear this news anyway, but Im still dreaming of a Cable reform!!

Tickets got for the 4th.. Cant wait.
Seen them in leisureland Galway as support to Therapy years ago and again on a Sunday morning in Feile.. Absolutely class.
As much as I tried to like Wilt because of their Kerbdog connections I couldn't..not in the same league..

Also - if you like Kerbdog- check out DRY RISE. We are kinda named after a song by them and are like kerbdog mixed with Silverchair.

ooh i was at their gig last night. it rocked. jj's song last :D
Re: Do the 'Dog - Irish rock monsters reform!
that was a great gig, they definitely still have it. theres not many bands that id go to as much effort as going all the way to ireland for...... and it seemed like a lot of people seem the same as it took us to ask about 6 or 7 people to find out where to go for a bit of rock afters!
if they suddenly fall back into oblivion again itll be a travesty, theyre as loud and essential as they ever were. more tours and new record now!
i love kerbdog.
