MCR on album number three: "We want the entire world to be moved"
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver August 1st, 2006

My Chemical Romance are at work on their third long-player, the follow-up to their really-rather-successful Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album of 2004. Is this the right place to say that I gave my copy away...?

The as-yet-untitled offering will be out in the autumn, October 23 to be exact. Recorded alongside Green Day producer Rob Cavallo, the band have said that they want their new album to be what fans remember them for.

"We want this to be the album that My Chemical Romance is remembered for," said bassist Mikey Way. "We all have records that shaped our childhood and teen years.

"When you hear a song, it shoots you back to a moment in time. We want this album to do that for people. We want the entire world to be moved."

In totally unrelated news, I just put the new Mastodon record on and the opening six seconds chewed my face off like a pitbull gnawing a melting knob of butter. Fucking hell...
