DiS is back from fields full of bands in Reading and Leeds. Words and more photos are forthcoming. However, to whet your appetite here are some shots of one of the acts of the weekend, the highly photogenic Crystal Castles. This is what was going on that you could only catch glimpses of through the billowing smoke and the sea of arms'n'bodies in their crammed late afternoon sets in the Dance Tents at each site.

they were so disappointing at reading
i dig the album but they were just shrill and screechy and dull.
Fail band is fail.
fail.
excellent
at leeds, only band I saw in the dance tent who got the whole crowd sort of dancing... Alice is kind of screechy, but that's probably mostly because she's flinging herself around so much... they're kind of more a live band to get violently lost in than to loiter at the back and stroke one's chin to
^this
definitely one to get violently lost to, not one to listen to expecting them to sing any note right. She was climbing all over the tent and managed to get the crowd really pumped. Great stuff.
Thought most of the bands seemed to get the dance tent going in reading though. Lethal Bizzle was ridiculous.
the whip
i would say got the crowd going loads. their music is impossible not to dance to. even the singer is having it as much as the audience.
alice
is my favourite woman in the world.
Yeah, but for that you had to skip
a Soulwax headlining/homecoming thing with fireworks and trapeze artists.
I might love Pukkelpop more than Glastonbury, or even Connect last year.
Reading
one of the best live acts at reading by far - completely underated
alice
ive got a special feeling in my semenefrious tubuoles
