Green Man 2007: headliners confirmed

robert plant olde

Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant - pictured in his younger days - is to headline this year's Green Man Festival, to be held on August 17-19.

Plant will play on the Saturday, with Friday 17's bill to be headlined by so-hot-right-now harpist Joanna Newsom. Sunday's headliner is as-yet unannounced.

Newsom's appearance at Green Man will be her only UK festival appearance of the year, apparently. Isn't she playing ATP too?

Tickets are on sale now, priced at £98 for the three days. Under-12s can attend for free. The venue is the same as 2006's event: Glanusk Park in the Brecon Beacons. For more information visit the festival website.

I'm there

Not for Plant though.

they always have to get

some old fart, don't they? I enjoyed donovan's Q&A thingy last year but not so much his actual live show.

joanna newsom was always going to headline this year. and rightly so.

rumour is that the headliner on sunday is marilyn manson.

some old fart?!

Led Zeppelin, FFS.

Old yes, fart no - i think fantastically talented musician may be the description you were groping clumsily toward...

may have to go

now...

that is so cool

anyone heard about their Solstace weekender? I'm hoping to be at that

"No"

"...headlining Fokey Dokey.."

i rest my case.

...

Ok, I agree, that looks bad..
..but its a case of rubbish name for a great stage rather than appropriate name for a rubbish stage. Someone dig me out of this hole please

no

no - don't tell everyone how good this festival is. last thing we need are those idiots there.

[lies] imagechange: yes you are right, its all hippies and people wearing comic medieval fancy dress. everyone greets one another with a "hey nonny nonny" and there is a big "incredible string band" sing along round the campfire each night. [/lies]
