Efterklang working on a new album, lose a member
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater February 7th, 2012

The last thing we heard from Danes Efterklang was around the full DVD release of their wonderful music documentary-film-project with Vincent Moon, An Island. The news today is two-fold. The first is that they are now down a member, as Thomas Husmer has left the band after a decade.

On a statement on the band's website the band wrote this message:

Our dear friend, great musician and Efterklang drummer/trumpet player for over 10 years, Thomas Husmer has decided to seek new adventures and is no longer a member of the band.

He will be dearly missed in Efterklang, but we fully support and understand his decision. Please help us thanking him for all his contributions and the many memories.

You can also read Thomas's full statement on the website. Farewell and good luck, Thomas. The other news is that, despite the departure of Thomas, the band (now made up of Casper, Mads and Rasmus) are currently working on a new record. So that's great. Of course, we'll let you know more when we know.
