One of the few aspects of music you probably wouldn't associate with Danish band Efterklang is melody. Sure, their stuff so far has had at least traces of it, but it wasn't like they had an ongoing devotion to the damned thing.
Their new record, Magic Chairs, practically abounds with it, though. It may be a change of direction slightly, and an unfamiliar one, but, I promise, it does not disappoint in the slightest. Look no further than below, for their new video for the first track from the album, 'Modern Drift', which may also possibly be the first single from it.
The video has been made by Kristian Leth, and is based on Dyrehaven, den Romantiske Skov, a film from 1970 by Per Kirekeby and Jørgen Leth, who is, coincidentally, Kristian's father. Keep it in the family and all that.
