When they're not involved in phone-in scandals and rubbing Fawlty Towers' stars up the wrong way, the folks at the Beeb are ruddy brilliant at festival coverage.
At this weekend's Camden Crawl BBC 6Music_ will be out in force. From live broadcasts to Twitterfeeds through videos, podcasts and hosting shows in glorious NW1. We'll be running their content feed over there in the left-hand column on our frontpage and community pages, as a little partnership test with those folks wot make stuffz with our TV license monies.
Here's a list of what 6Music will be running:
- Continual news coverage on both days, filed by 6 Music Journalists in Camden
- Madness live performance videos (recorded on Fri, published on Sat morning) & photos (published on Sat)
- Photos from The Roundhouse and Dublin Castle on both nights (published the following mornings)
- 6 Music News Daily Download podcast - special festival editions on Friday and Saturday- Music Week podcast - special festival edition on Sunday
- Adam & Joe podcast (published on Mon)
- Radio shows live from the festival from Steve Lamacq (Fri 1600-1900), Adam & Joe (Sat 0900-1200) and Lauren Laverne (Sat 1600-1800)
- A 6 Mix festival special presented by 808 State (Sat 2100-2300)
The above content and more Camden Crawl related stuff is all available here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/events/camdencrawl09/
DiS' coverage of the festival will be rolling via our Twitter @drownedinsound and we will be running our review and a heap of photos early next week.
DiScuss: you off to The Crawl? Anyone else hoping Idlewild will playing 'Captain' Don't Look Back-style at the Dublin Castle? Who are you do-not-miss acts?
