Emiliana Torrini could sing her gas bill and make it sound bruised and lovelorn but bashfully hopeful. It’s almost impossible to describe ‘Heartstopper’ without using the word charming or a near synonym. Luckily, this tale of the little girl lost paddling about the city is perfectly suited to her winsome, fractured tones.
As with all of her songs there is far more craft involved than there first appears to be. But even this knock off the corners and turn up the drums single edit has a naturalistic familiarity that makes it the musical equivalent of a comfort blanket.

Emiliana Torrini - Heartstopper
I street teamed for one of her gigs, more to get out of the house than anything and with no expectations. I ended up really enjoying myself.
Emiliana Torrini - Heartstopper
i street teamed one, and didn't enjoy it so much. that probably wasn't all her fault, though.
