Take Me I'm Yours

Label: Bohemian Records Release Date: 24/03/2003

12414
athomas by Andy (quirk) Thomas March 28th, 2003

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you a new rap/metal band who make Crazytown look as credible as NOFX. If <209> were any more manufactured they'd come stamped with an expiry date. The press release presents six guys with nicknames picked out of the Avril Lavigne book of punk rock complete with vaguely _Top Trumps_-esque descriptions: ("J- Metal - Guitars: Unique and brutal, 111% metal", "Barnet - Drums: This man not only makes the pocket, but fills it so full of rock it weights a ton"...). In fact, their facsimile imitation nu-metal would be spotted by David Dickinson at a hundred paces.

Musically, 'Take Me I'm Yours' has lightweight wannabe Deftones riffs, daft shout outs, lame samples, and a subject matter worn so threadbare a student flat would be embarrassed by it (black and white unite maaaan...). The release isn't helped by a lightweight dance remix sitting on track two and an acoustic version on three. Yeah man, ekeing out the same song over three tracks is soooo hardcore... Bad in every way.
