He may not be making the same Daily Mail headline splashes as two years ago, but Slim Shady is still so far ahead of the competition, its almost laughable.
Coming on like a 21st Century Rocky theme, 'Lose Yourself' sees Marshall Mathers in typically dextrous lyrical flow. Theoretically the tale of Jimmy 'Rabbit' Smith Jr, its essentially Eminem: The Early Years. "success is the only motherfucking option" spits the rapper as any form of role playing is thrown out the window.
This is the lead single from the '8 Mile' film, it finds itself roughly that distance ahead of everyone else. An unsurprising and deserved No.1
