Something In The Water

S/T

Label: Midflight

DiSvsMatt by Mat Hocking September 11th, 2002

Coming from the *Orange Goblin / Clutch *school of stoner rock, relative unknowns *Something In The Water *have emerged from the underground in a cloudy haze of deep grooves and cracklingly heavy distortion.

_‘Verbal Litter’ _is the rock ‘n’ roll explosion that blows the lid off this 7” EP, letting loose an impetuous energy that’s forever digging deep to find the dirtiest sludge-coated riffs to add to their arsenal of ‘songs’. _‘Bring On The Frequencies’ _allows an old school melodic hardcore kick to barge it’s way in, all the time fired by that buzzsaw guitar shredding it’s way through the speakers.

They’ve already stormed the Uxfest massives. Now it’s time for SITW to show the rest of the UK what heavy stoner rock is supposed to sound like.
