Chris and Neil have been away for a while and now return with a tune that retreats from their previous dance direction towards a more classical pop song approach. Home and Dry features a dry drum rhythm, a drifting inoffensive vocal, and a radio friendly chorus. Just a shame they use a vocoda on the vocal, the effect being more dated than their trademark synths. It should surprise no-one that the boys are being completely ignored by Radio 1 but on constant rotation at Radio 2. A reflection of their mature songwriting, or an admission they may be turning into the electro-Dido?
