Hundred Reasons’ debut has been described by some as the best single of the year, is it really any good?
Yeah it is, the Aldershot based quintet are one of the best new bands that I’ve heard so far this year. They take their inspiration from the US hardcore and emo scenes. Bands like Tool, Quicksand and Far are probably high up the pecking order in way of influences. They have the overwhelming guitar riffs of such bands, but their sound is increased considerably with Colin Doran’s first class vocals and uncomplicated song writing. He’d rather sing then scream and he writes simple yet touching lyrics about pain, anger and his beliefs without using too many metaphors or similes.
If your going to buy one single this month make sure it’s this, be quick ‘cause it shouldn’t be too long till you see this being sold at a ridiculous price.
