The Thermals - More Parts Per Million
"No culture icons" would be the next "Teenage kicks" if more people woke up to the Thermals. Totally class album- 13 lo-fi punk songs with little attempt at variation or any such unnecessary commodities. Hutch Harris's songs are so geniusly subtle and structurally interesting that repeated listenings are rewarded, if not required to fully appreciate the music. "Its Trivia" and "Brace and "Break" have also got "underground classic" written all over them. A filthy gem of a record.
Re: The Thermals - More Parts Per Million
It's great but came out nearly a year ago. Get hold of the single too as it has great B-sides.
