Osmium.n1: Heaviest known metallic element.
Whoever wrote this Oxford Dictionary definition is now going to have to change the meaning after listening to the 11-track slab of pure brutality that is Underule’s forthcoming new album.
I mean, anyone who isn’t taken aback by the truly staggering pulsating intensity that crashes through your speakers in tracks like ‘Pound Of Flesh’ & ‘Dark’ must be near tone deaf. Imagine the insane dementias of Arkangel & Stampin’ Ground locked in a bloody melee of intense ugly beatdowns & you’d possibly be a little nearer to the Underule experience.
Along with producer & metal maestro Dave Chang, bands like Stampin’ Ground, Medulla Nocte & Underule are helping to make metal-core the most ferociously heavy genre of music on the planet – and this album is a testament to that.
Only thing is, look at the singer and I'm sure he used to be in a boy-band! [arf arf! - private joke sorry]
