returning with their second album, 'reign of terror', brooklyn-via-florida duo sleigh bells make a cacophenous comeback. singer alexis krauss and guitarist / producer derek e miller have recorded the sonic equivalent of a beautiful shotgun to the head. in parts hip-hop beats and double-bass drum rain down like shrapnel whilst on others it's all 80s bubblegum-pop but with crunching guitars. the album is progressive in both sound and song writing to 'treats' but it still has that noisy and vivacious edge.

Sleigh Bells - Reign of Terror
The needle has shifted from 'dance' to 'rock', but it's all part of growing up, though. And in the process Sleigh Bells have managed to keep it fun, rebellious and barbed.»
