strut records, are huge fans of factory records, which should come as no surprise. factory staples such as quando quango's 'love tempo' have been compiled on their 'disco not disco' series, and music from factory's vast catalog has long been heavily featured in their dj sets and general listening. for 'fac dance' strut decided to focus on some of the label's early output, narrowing in on some key dance floor cuts that comprise some of their favourite 12 inches and late night classics. they were lucky enough to have involvement from some of the label's key participants, including iconic designer and cover artist peter saville. their friend bill brewster of djhistory.com assembled the compilation and contributes the liner notes. it features 24 dancefloor friendly cuts from section 25, a certain ratio, durutti column, new order, quando quango, swamp children, 52nd street, streetlife, blurt and more.
