EES: Danko Very Much
rubbafish by Colin Weston October 3rd, 2003
It seems that the biggest-haired, most wild-eyed, and basically the most rocking Japanese band of the moment, Electric Eel Shock, just cannot get enough of touring!

The band have announced 40 dates around Europe with Canadian outfit Danko Jones, including 5 UK dates in December:

December

Tue 9th - Leeds Cockpit
Wed 10th - Glasgow Garage (K-Fest gig)
Thur 11th - Manchester Academy 3 (K Fest)
Fri 12th - Birmingham Academy 2 (K Fest)
Sat 13 - London (UK) Mean Fiddler (K Fest)

Having been on the road regularly since October 2002, the band have built up a loyal fan base (and who can blame them with their upbeat trashy rock songs and goofball onstage antics). This year the band have already completed three UK tours, embarked on two US tours (currently on their second), landed a stage headlining spot at the Roskilde Festival, and even supported metal giants Sepultura in Germany!

And if that's not enough to satisfy your appetite for Japanese cock-rock, the band have also announced the details of their next single: live favourite 'Do The Metal' is due for release through Mighty Atom Records in late November. As the band would say, "Usagi Chan!!!" Not that we know what they're actually talking about...
