Reading/Leeds: More Bands Added to Bill

After selling out in record time*, the Carling Leeds & Reading Festival have added some more bands to the line up:

MAIN STAGE

Miserable nu-metallers, Staind
Stadium rock come back kings, The Darkness
Boston rock four-piece, Cave In

RADIO ONE STAGE

Soft and nostalgic chart toppers, The Thrills
London garage rock duo, The Kills
Antipodean NME-hyped rockers, Jet
Angst-ridden Symposium left-overs, Hell is for Heroes
Gnarly Richard Ashcroft look-a-likes, 80s B Line Matchbox Disaster
Clash influenced New Yoikers, Radio 4
White Stripes stylee line up, The Raveonettes

Also added to the Concrete Jungle Stage are Pennywise, Lagwagon, The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, Turbonegro, Mad Caddies, Thrice and King Prawn.

*Please note: Reading Weekend Tickets are now sold out. Leeds Weekend Tickets are still available as are day tickets to both events.

How do the Raveonettes have a "White Stripes lineup"? They seemed like a pretty standard rock band when i saw them.

What are people's opinions of the bill so far? I didn't get tickets this year and so far am pretty glad - the lineup doesn't seem very good at all.

i think it looks pretty decent thus far. looking forward to seeing metallica, courtney love, the kills, cave in, doves, the music etc. should be great fun. :)

I think it looks pretty bad... there are some great bands going there who I have seen already (yyy's, electric six-amazing live- and eighties matchbox) but they're all on different days

I really an starting to think about going to game on on sunday instead - its a fantastic line up
