Cerys is back!
mharflett by Melissa Harflett March 5th, 2003
Catatonia, you remember them, had a few hits a few years ago, released Paper Scissors Stones, which flopped and then they split up. Cerys went into rehab to fight her drink problems and the rest of the band disappeared.

Well, Cerys, who recently married record producer Seth Riddle in West Wales, is now back with her debut solo album 'Cockahoop'.

Recorded in Nashville with producer Bucky Baxter, the original plan was an album of folk songs. However, she ended up going in a more country and western direction, inspired by living in a log cabin without running water, a bathroom or kitchen.

'Cockahoop' is released on Blanco y Negro/WEA on the 19th of May and includes 'Caught In The Middle', 'Only A Fool' and 'The Good In Goodbye' and features a number of Country and Western stars including Richard Bennett and Roger Cook.

No live dates have been announced.
