Sub-goth three-piece rockers Placebo are back! Check the important stats here.

Brian Molko and his band of merry men return to UK duties this March and April with a string of releases and dates.

'Because I Want You' is the new single, getting airplay now and due for release (through Virgin) on March 6th, followed a week later by new album Meds.

1,000 fans turned up for the band's video shoot last week, causing hysteria and, in no cases, death. Have some tour dates:

First album was great. After that I didn't get anything but kept liking all the singles. Eventually in one of those 5 for £30 deals I completed my collection. Big mistake. Everything but the first record has since been resold...

The

only thing I'm interested about the new Placebo album is that Michael Stipe does vocals on one of the tracks. Other than that they can stick their "friends in needs" up their tiny poopers.

I used...

... to really like em, the first album is indeed a stomper and i think there is something to be said about the next 2.. not amazing but still sharp.. then sometimes the lyrics are reallly contrived.

and they suck live.
