Why 'presented without comment'?
Contrary to popular belief, Radiohead aren't the mafia and you ARE allowed to listen to it just the once and decide if you like what you hear or not.
Or at least an "on first listen..." style comment.
I think it's very good. but you don't have to. Same as with every single other band on the planet.
You must know what i mean though.
Radiohead do seem to file under 'special case - opinion suject to change'.
Yes. But the reason for me doing it like that is because I am at work.
Rather than me leaving myself open to change and presenting a first off comment. I might not even ever properly listen to this track, who knows?
and by "at work" he means, he doesn't work for DiS full-time. there is plenty of comment about this track on the boards already.
in a word: meh
That's cool...
Just seemed like by highlighting the fact there was no comment, it sounded like a statement.
I'd rather hear meh! that is all.
Thom..
looks a bit like a German car designer. and all that From The Basement warm-up fluff (coz it's like, well 'live') really irritates me, for some reason.
another grower..?
Loaded
I like the fact that every fart they issue is positively pregnant with media excitement....as if they haven't essentially fallen into a groove since Kid A and just kept on keeping on. It's a righteous groove, don't get me wrong, but right now they'd have to release a four-to-the-floor verse-chorus-verse, quiet-loud-quiet three minute rock song to really get anyones' undivided, who wasn't keeping half an ear open anyway. I like it plenty, still wistfully holding out for a triumphant geetah solo on the sly.
I like this direction.
Though I hope that The Present Tense is released sans jazzy beats and bassline.
