Back a couple of months ago it was reported that Björk was going to undertake a three-week residency at the Manchester International Festival in June. She will be performing Biophilia, which we were then told was "a multimedia project encompassing music, apps, internet, installations and live shows" and would "celebrate how sound works in nature, exploring the infinite expanse of the universe, from planetary systems to atomic structure".
Now the Icelander has created a new website for this project. Well, we say "created" a new one, it's just on her old website, but updated. It includes a new clip of her speaking about the project. Click here to listen to it and wander around the website. Super stuff.
Just to remind you when the shows take place:
June 30 (20:30), July 3 (16:30), July 7 (20:30), July 10 (16:30) and July 16 (20:30). Tickets are priced at £45 and are available from here. Also playing at the MIF will be Damon Albarn, of Blur fame.
