I might be wrong (and I've only listened to it 20 times so far) but this new Gang Gang Dance album is likely to be an album of the year contender...
It swirls somewhere between Kate Bush/Bjork/The Knife and a synthier M.I.A./J. Dilla/Kanye, rummaging as much in the pastoral wardrobe as it does in the draw full of garish party outfits.
It feels tainted by electro but gazes at the future through a kaleidoscope.
It's pretty indescribable.
