So, just days after surprising us with the immediate release of a new EP Sufjan Stevens is giving us another pleasant update, now announcing the release of another full-length record, his first since the opus that was Come On Now Feel The Illinoise*.
The new one is called The Age of Adz and, we are reliably told, is pronounced "the age of odds". Whatever the hell that is. The artwork - fairly impressive - is below, as is the tracklisting. It all builds up to a 25-minute final track, by the way. It comes out on October 11 through Asthmatic Kitty, of course.
- Futile Devices
- Too Much
- Age of Adz
- I Walked
- Now That I'm Older
- Get Real Get Right
- Bad Communication
- Vesuvius - 5:26
- All for Myself - 2:55
- I Want To Be Well - 6:27
- Impossible Soul - 25:35
The album contains lots of themes. Let's just say it's about many things, as you'd expect.
*We know it's not really called that, but humour us, OK?
