Deerhunter and Atlas Sound plot Spring tours
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater February 23rd, 2010

It's now hard to know which Bradford Cox project is the bigger one. Deerhunter seemed to have the stuff sewn up, especially with the A-rated Microcastle in 2008. Then along comes Atlas Sound with Logos and does a little widdle over that particular parade. Let's not argue over it for too long, though, as they're both GREAT.

The greatness continues in the news that both incarnations of Cox are heading over to Europe to play a few shows, starting off with Deerhunter, which then morphs into Atlas Sound. That said, in the latter guise there's only one UK date, at ATP, so it's not ALL happy clappy joy. Unless you're going to ATPavement, that is.

May:

Deerhunter:
4 - Manchester, Club Academy
5 - Leeds, Cockpit
6 - London, Heaven
8 - Minehead, ATP
10 - Brighton, Concorde
11 - Amsterdam, Trouw Amsterdam
12 - Brussels, Botanique Festival
13 - Paris, La Maroquinerie

Atlas Sound:
16 - Minehead, ATP
27 - Bonn, Bad Bonn Festival
28 - Zagreb, Mars Festival
29 - Barcelona, Primavera Festival
31 - Istanbul, Indigo

June:
2 - Paris, Villette Sonique Festival

Here's what you could've won! Shei-ei-ei-ei-laaa!
