Eskimo Snow may have been slightly disappointing (read Luke Slater's review here) but here's something that proves Yoni Wolf ain't out of ideas yet.
As part of the promotional efforts for the latest Why? record, a mockumentary has been created. I can sense disgruntled voices from the crowd. The answers are: yes, Yoni can act, and yes it is actually funny, in a LOZLTRON/ROFLCOPTER/LOLLERSKATES type way. Not like Spinal Tap level, obviously, but still pretty snazzy.
Who knew Anticon had this type of budget, hey? Check out band member Doug's acting in part seven. I don't remember seeing anything as bad since having to watch back a video of some drama we did as part of English GCSE.
Other selected highlights-
- Oversized trainer endorsements
- Yoni getting into the foetal position
- Blake Maxwell's headscarves
- Legendary, the guitarist
- Yoni's glasses
- Glenn Howerton from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia cameo
And so on. OK, they may be a little old now, but funny shit is funny for good, right? Really, you're just missing out if you're not clicking already.
