Hello capital-dwellers
So it's been at least a week, possibly two since fluoro-loving disco noiseniks HEALTH last skidaddled into The Big Smoke. You'd perhaps given them up for dead and thus stopped checking to see if they were playing gigs, but don't worry - LA's most prolific London giggers were merely touring something called 'the rest of the world'. Come Monday they're back in town play the Garage - or Relentless Garage, as you may prefer to call it, who knows? - and DiS is offering a pair of free tickets.
To win, simply post below with a brief description of what your Monday night would entail if you DON'T go, and we'll decide who needs the tickets most. Like the good Samaritans we are. The jolly good Samaritans.

The Mars Volta: a well-dressed "pop corpse"
My Monday Night...
If I don't go to this, that is, will consist of pizza and masturbation. I might watch Have I Got News For You, but frankly, it's gone right off the boil since Deayton left.
my monday night
would be studying anatomy, as that is my dissection room day. this week i believe i will be studying nerves. so health on a monday would be pretty apt
my monday night
would otherwise entail tesco value fisherman's pie and choir practice. and probably dinosaur comics and listening to health via headphones in my room with the curtains drawn.
a monday night without HEALTH
forcing myself to read Virginia Woolf for class but inevitably being distracted and oddly transfixed by the late night sign language man in the bottom right-hand corner of the television screen
It would give me an excellent excuse to exit the work colleague
birthday celebrations very early without looking like a total cont, agreed a week or so ago when I felt I should be civil and get to know the people at my new job, but I now decided to leave this job at the earliest opportunity and canne be arsed. The only reason I'm not going is I saw them in Norwich at the start of the tour and can't splash the cash to see them twice. end.
Playing FIFA 10 with flatmates when home from work
And watching FlashForward continue to fail epically.
So that is computer games and shoddy overhyped drama. Excellent.
On Monday, if I'm not going to this,
I'll probably just sit down for a bit.
Without HEALTH my Monday night...
will involve being forced by my housemate to watch America's Next Top Model. Please save me from this - I've a horrible feeling if I watch another episode I'll become addicted. Last week I actually found myself commenting that Sandra can only do profile. I found myself interested in Dwain Dibley talking about how to walk! I need to escape!
My Monday Night..
will consist of suicide if i can't get those free tickets.
CHOPS were asked to play this by HEALTH and their tour booker
but we can't make it... balls!
Monday night would invole me
working my usual hours at Community General Hospital whilst also helping my son, Detective Steve Sloan, solve a particularly puzzling murder
my monday night
i'll probably just commit suicide. unless i can find something to bring me back to HEALTH
my monday night
would consist of me studying for the hardest test i'll prob have which is in about 40 days and will consist of a 3hr test, followed by a 2hr break, followed by a 3hr exam where i'm not even allowed a bottle of water on my desk.
so i'll finish work after probably a 10 hour day with little sleep, and then go to the library being surrounded by students, and then study derivatives and the ethics of trading while trying to stay awake.
i will then go home about 4 hours later and heat up some food, and then study for another couple of hours, and then go to bed.
btw, i'm a banker, so i work with cunts all day, in a very stressed, cuntish environment.
i love HEALTH
i forgot to add
i hate my life at the moment
my monday night would probably end up
punching kittens in the face, whilst breathing fire into the faces of newborn children at the despair of not seeing health.
or probably just end up being a bit bored.
If I don`t get me some HEALTH
I`ll contract some ILLNESS.
my monday night would consist of
me imagining that i'm at a health gig, thrashing around my bedroom.
(well, actually i'd probably just lay quite still on my bed listening, whilst thinking about maybe doing some uni work, and staring at the lovely red limited edition vinyl spin around and around and around...)
Hey, sorry guys - I've been away from a computer and had to
rattle this all off on my mobile, hence inefficient posting - Ardack was the winner, sorry I wasn't a bit clearer.
HEALTH were awesome!
so, so, so much better live, and they had amazing sound.
Thanks DiS!
