There's little which Rivers Cuomo - of Weezer fame - does which surprises us any more. He recently announced that Lil' Wayne would appear on the band's forthcoming album, Raditude, something which left us less than flabbergasted.
This time it's arguably next-level, however. Rivers has revealed that he's going to be working with faux-lesbian idol Katy Perry. It happened in a game of Word Association with Buzznet, where he was also asked about things like "blogs", "geeks" and "Weezer".
When the tattooed interviewer says "Katy Perry?", Rivers responds with "We're writing together next week. Can't wait!". Interesting. Though we're not entirely sure on what they'll be working (it may end up on Perry's next LP), we await the collaboration more than anything. I guess the rock version of 'I Kissed A Girl' was pretty good, though, no? Alternatively, it could turn out to be an absolute steaming pile of excrement, only time and our ears will be able to tell.
