The Sun are reporting that Radiohead’s plans to save the world have been ruined by fans in France who IGNORED the band’s attempts to ‘green-up’ a show in Paris because they are too LAZY to ride bicycles.
Thom Yorke’s gaggle made 50 front row tickets available for the already sold-out concert at The Bercy with one proviso – any takers would have to cycle to the Paris HQ of XL Recordings, Radiohead’s record label in Europe.

Polar bears: at risk because of 'the French'
Available on a first-come, first-served basis, 35 of the 50 tickets went unclaimed. Over to the Sun for a source:
“Unfortunately the French didn’t appear to share their noble intentions and roundly ignored the free ticket tactic.”
Those ignoble bastards. Thanks, the Sun!

Could it be that Johnny Frog is just familiar
with their post 97' output and decided to give it a miss?
FAO: Kev:
LOL
don't you ever get bored?
of being a really boring person?
LOL at
assimilating the TABLOID tactic of making IMPORTANT parts really STAND OUT cos their readers are too STUPID to understand.
yes
IMPORTANT parts, which are also SENSATIONALISTIC.
It'd take a hell of a lot more
than a couple of Radiohead tickets to tempt me to cycle in Paris.
The place is a deathtrap in a car.
Einstein here just swallowed a dictionary
As if such a big word would get the all-capitals treatment.
but really,
why leave torquay?
lovely place.
in Paris
they have a really good, virtually free, bike rental system that is really easy to use. My brother used to live there and cycled nearly EVERYWHERE, and so did I when I went to visit him. Not sure if this changes anyone's opinion about the matter.
So your profile says you are from Torquay
The tickets were available from Paris, so this incident actually happened, eradicating the need for a "would".
Either you were one of the 15, or are a liar!
Yes, I went there.
it's coool..
it's amazing to see everybody cycling around on theose things in paris. apparently ken livingstone wanted to introduce the same scheme in london, but alas..
Oh, renowned cyclist Ken Livingston? LOLZ!
Oh no, silly me, that'd be the Ken Livingstone who spent about 20K per year on taxi fares. I think there's more chance of the scheme being introduced under Boris Johnson who actually like totally cycles and that, innit.
