The Aliens: tour cancelled after singer breaks himself

The Aliens have had to cancel their UK tour, which was scheduled to start this week, after lead singer Gordon Anderson broke his clavicle.

“Sorry to announce the cancellation of all tour dates due to an unfortunate episode involving lead singer Gordon Anderson," read a post on the band's website.

”On Saturday afternoon Gordon fell and broke his clavicle whilst climbing a tree with John.”

The shows are being rescheduled though, and all original tickets will remain valid. The band also release new single 'Astronomy for Dogs' this time next week (19 March).

These damn irresponsible rock stars. Sounds painful though - a clavicle is, by the by, that bone that runs across the top of your chest. Ow.

  • If this is the same band

    that played the Stockton Riverside Festival last year, then them cancelling a tour won't be a bad thing. They were awful live.

    what's worse.

    The fact I was really looking forward to this (I like the singles and albums, what can I say?) or the fact that everyone on here seems to think their shite live.

    And whilst I generally leave it up my own ears when it comes to a song or album, I have a track record of agreeing with you lot when it comes to bands live. Hmm.

  • I dislocated my clavicle...

    ...last year. Did you know that it's standard hospital procedure to leave it where it is? Mine sticks out on top of my shoulder.

    a few lessons in being capable to think for yourself.

    1. TRUTH ;-take a look at all the reviews,...not just this one of this website,(that seems to review most bands alot lower than any other reviewers btw....)
    .all you lot have done is agree with this reviewer,and anyway...drowned in sound is after all the aliens worst review...oh yes there is one worse review,by, 'playlouder' but hey,they gave arcade fire's amazing neon bible 5/10.ha! funny isnt it?

PATIENCE ;-you guys should practise abit of patience.i admit when i saw the ALIENS at the stockton gig,it wasnt a great sound...but hey,give these guys a chance...it was only their FOURTH gig!and they were the best performance ive seen in ages ;-i went to see them recently at both of their sellout london gigs.they blew the tops off the roofs!!! everyone thought they were tripping so electric was the feeling!!!

    3.READ ALL RELIABLE REVIEWS OF LIVE SHOWS TOO...NOT JUST THE 'BIRD OF THE FEATHERS' WHO FREQUENT THIS WEBSITE .i.e.heres some live reviews from decent sources.(D.I.S. dont like the aliens gettit?)
