I Am Kloot quit Echo

I Am Kloot have parted company with Echo Records. The Manchester trio discovered that the label were not able to sustain their financial backing, so had no choice but to look elsewhere.

The band are due to enter the studio this month to work on new material with Elbow's Guy Garvey and Craig Potter. A European tour with Ian Brown is scheduled for October. UK dates:

October
27th Glasgow The Arches
28th Manchester Academy
29th London Astoria

Another single from last album Gods And Monsters is due for release in October.

Hmm, none of their albums sold well, and I presume the last one was a maker or braker...The albums just don't really capture anything that you haven't heard so many times before...Live, indeed they are a lot more enjoyable.

I don't agree! I think on record they're magic but they bored me stupid live. The time I saw them they just went through the motions and didn't say a word to the audience for their set. I was very dissapointed, but it hasn't put me off too much.

That's odd. He usually banters and rips the piss constantly between songs.

i am kloot are on of my favorite bands of the last 5 years. great live and the lps are always good.

hope they are able to get a decent deal which can support them and give them the backing they deserve!

I agree with marowak. Great band, funny live and, like so many bands I like, they're on a crap label and probably won't be as big as they should be.

BBC6music gave "Over My Shoulder" loads of plays.

We haven't heard the last of them.
